I am so glad I found this place on doordash. The pineapple fried rice, edamame, and sushi was enough to feed like 3 people! (delicious enough to eat in one sitting, though!)

My husband and I have been here twice and both times we've been so happy with the service. The food is amazing and you get your money's worth 10000%. We always get so full with just the appetizers and have to take most of our main course to go. Love this place and the wait staff is nice!

This place deserves better than the 4.2 Star rating it has. The shaggy dog roll is probably the best one I’ve had, the LSU roll was ? so good! We even tried some Ramen and it was good, but we aren’t experienced Ramen foodies.
Crab puffs were the largest we have ever had and had whole chunks of crab inside too.

Alex was our waiter and was on top of everything even an hour before they closed on a slow a Monday night.

To top it off each table has a power plug if you have kids with electronics or need to charge your devices.

This was an extremely nice restaurant. We ate food prepared by a hibachi chef. The food he prepared was very good. The chef was very nice and talkative. The waitress was also very helpful and friendly.

We have been going to Yoko's for over a year now and never had a bad experience. The food is fantastic, the wait staff is friendly and promt, the bar is a full bar with well made drinks. If this restaurant was located anyplace but Cypress the prices would be double. Enjoy this place while you can afford it.

Long wait but good food

What a fun place to go and enjoy dinner. The atmosphere is nice and the hibachi chef did a great job with the kids!

The prices are okay for what you get.

The onion soup had salt resting at the bottom, and the takoyaki balls where somewhat under cooked (not very crispy) and the yum yum sauce had been watered down.

Truthfully this would normally drop a place to 3 star.
We greatly enjoyed the chef though and the entrees.
If the soup and takoyaki balls where better made this place could have been 4-5 ?

This food is yummy! The staff is very accommodating and friendly. I work for a major food company and to say the least ... I am a foodie. We had the Black Forest Roll, Sashimi Deluxe, Ice Cream Tempura and Mochi ice cream. The Chef even came out to visit us.

This is my absolute favorite hibachi grill/ restaurant ever! The service is amazing and the food is even more amazing! Every time we go, which is at least once a week, we ask for Jason as our Hibachi Chef. His food always comes out tasting amazing! Has never disappointed me once. The price is really good for a hibachi grill. Strongly suggest you try this place! I love it!

Best sushi I have had in the twelve years I've lived in Houston. The wait staff as well as the owner are incredibly friendly. The hibachi is amazing all my kids love it and they are picky eaters! The fish is so fresh and tasty, I could seriously go on and on saying good things about this place!

The food here was mouth smacking. We went there for dinner and had onion soup, Shaggy dog roll and grilled salmon teriyaki. We reached late for dinner but server was very patient and accommodative. Highly recommend this pace for Japanese food lovers.

We first tried carry out for this establishment and weren't impressed, we are from the east coast and enjoyed a very good sushi / Japanese restaurant and was in the mood for a good sushi roll. We yelped and this restaurant showed up once again. We decided to give it a try once again, but we would go in sit down look over the entire menu etc. we made the right decision. We discovered Hibachi on one side, an extensive food menu, and Sushi, and I must not forget s full bar. We'll be back. We enjoyed everything we ordered and the service was Great!

Yoko is a really good sushi and habachi grill. My wife and I frequently come here for both. The Murphy roll is the best for sure. Service is sometimes lacking.

Excellent! Wonderful Japanese food. We had Tempura, sushi, salad, soup....and all were way above average. Only complaint is that they overcooked the teriyaki chicken. Everything else was perfect and very special.

I needed a relaxing break today and ended up at Yoko Japanese Kitchen. It was awesome I had the spicy yellow fish roll and their new menu item special House Special lo mein. This was truly the best I have ever had. The service was amazing. Cindy the owner lives in Fairfield and found out she has a daughter my granddaughters age at the same school. Thank you for the relaxing lunch that I needed. Will see you again soon.

My daughter and I were very happy to discover Yoko JK. We travel to Houston a lot, and we're thrilled to find a new, tasty place en route. We sat at a table for sushi, and got two rolls and some nigiri. It was fresh and delicious. Our waiter was kind and efficient. The only criticism I have is that the decor is just okay, and they were playing country music. I know we're in Texas, but how about a more Japanese cultural experience. I guess they were going for local hip vibe. When the check came, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as expensive as most sushi places. We will definitely go back, it is a great value for yummy sushi!

Flower teas are awesome, a must get while there. Rolls are a good price, a little on the small side, but overall very delicious. Interior is clean and hip, a very good experience overall.

I went on a Wednesday around 6pm and we literally had the whole habitchi grill to ourselves. Brought my daughter who was celebrating her birthday and they made her feel special. They even gave her a free dessert! I will be coming back.

Finally! Sushi and hibachi (that is GOOD... actually, GREAT) at the tips of our fingers, Fairfield! Whoo! I dined in for the first time this past Sunday and have been back twice since. THAT good. The dcor is beautiful- the owners definitely paid attention to the fine details! Our server, Yenny, was fantastic and greeted us just as we were sat. While skimming the menu for our entrees we ordered some sashimi and and sushi rolls. They were delicious and oh so fresh! Now for the best part... my filet mignon. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium rare! The steak is not cut until you order it, and then chopped into bite-sized pieces and cooked to your liking. I will be back repeatedly for this well-prepared, enjoyable steak! Everything from the food, drinks, atmosphere and the owner is phenomenal! Last night we were asked how we were doing, by what I assume was the owner, twice. It's also worth mentioning there is a fully stocked bar where patrons were enjoying drinks and watching the football game... YOKO is truly a gem to have in the neighborhood and I can't wait to go back try more dishes!

After reading some of the reviews about poor service I was pleasantly surprised. The decor in the restaurant is really nice. Our server Jeff was fantastic. Very on top of our drink refills. The place was clean and quiet even though there were quite a few patrons there. The only complaint I have which is nothing is they brought all of our sushi rolls out before the kids meals. My 3 year old was a little disgruntled but got over it once her plate arrived. Sushi was fantastic. Didn't try anything else but that's all we came for. Very pleased and will definitely come back!

Went on a week night with the hubby and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was inside given it's in a strip center. The decor is beautiful! They have a large pot on the front turned into a fountain with turtles in it but there is a sign saying they think fingers are food so I didn't pet them :( we were seated quickly we chose to do the hibachi tables but there are regular tables and booth seating as well. Another couple showed up right after us and were sat at the same table per usual. Server was attentive and remembered my lemon on my water which made me happy! Once we ordered it took about 5 minuets to get our onion soup and salad. The soup was better than others I've had I love how thin they slice the mushrooms for topping, other places don't do that. I've never been a fan of the salad at any hibachi place so I did not love the ginger dressing. Not long after our chef came out. Very nice but pretty quiet. The show had a few new tricks I've never seen before which was refreshing. He juggles these sticks while they were on fire!! As he is making the food I got excited because your meal comes with noodles too!! You get your protein, noodles, rice, two shrimp and mixed veggies! It's so much food! The only thing I wish was better was the "yum yum sauce" I frequent another Japanese Grill and I love for their honey mustard sauce and this one was wayyyy to sweet for me. But in my opinion it makes the meal. I loved my food otherwise and had lunch left over for the next day. I would definitely go back but my next wish will be for better dipping sauce.

Amazing lunch special, but the soup was cold. Fish was fresh, neatly placed and delicious. I wish that the hibachi "Sexy Boy" was still there, he was great.

Awesome size draft beer, fresh sushi and sashimi, with a creative delivery. The hibachi has been hit or miss, the Chef's all do it different, although the taste is good there is no consistency. Servers are all super, friendly, and attentive. Good place for large families, they have large tables and booths.

This restaurant was a good size, nice lightening and music was just right. There are some big screen TV with the sports channel on; big plus! There is regular seating, booth seating, bar seating as well as hibachi! I was greeted as soon as I walked in. My waitress was Mona, and she wasted no time in introducing herself. She was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and her bubbly personality was the icing on the cake! I ordered the crab puff appetizer, some escolar, king salmon, spicy chopped scallops, otoro, sweet shrimp, special beef sashimi, hamachi kama, and Usuzukuri. Everything was all very very good! The sushi chefs were very nice. Mona made sure I felt comfortable and had an enjoyable night. I never had to ask for any refills or anything! I would definitely come back!

If you're a Cypress native you will know our options for Japanese food are limited and our option for hibachi is a short list (Shoguns). I'm glad to see another hibachi/sushi place in town.

We went on a Saturday night around 9pm and there were not a lot of people in the restaurant and not a lot of people at the hibachi grills. There are six hibachi stations total. We were the last to join our table. We had the side seats and I was thinking we wouldn't be able to see but it was actually a fine view.

The wait staff was attentive to refills and requests. However, even being the last to be seated it took a while for the chef to come out. I believe only two chefs were working that night so that could explain the delay.

Henry was our guy and he was great! We've been to several hibachi places and this place was has all the tricks: fire, onion volcano, rice catch and gags. Henry was funny and attentive. He said he's been doing this for 20+ years which is impressive. He kept the table laughing and the food was cooked to perfection.

Yoko includes soup, salad, fried rice, shrimp, AND noodles with your entree order. In generous amounts, which is more than I can say for Shoguns. They hand out extras as well as to not waste food which I appreciated. Lastly, many people at our table refused the vegetables and Henry was nice enough to ask if they wanted him to pick our certain vegetables to eat. Several people did this and he took the time to cater to them which is not something I've seen at a hibachi place before.

I would return here for hibachi and hope to see it fill up soon.

Wow, so glad I found this place on Yelp! Located right in Fairfield, this place is a great gem! The restaurant alone is beautiful and my six year old daughter loved seeing the turtles by the hostess stand! Hibachi was great and everyone was very friendly. So glad we tried it out, we will be back!

Really enjoy this place. Food is good, chef's are slightly unenthusiastic, but they prepare the food well. Nice atmosphere. HBs is our favorite, but when it's too far, this place runs a very close 2nd.

Good food. You can do Hibachi or sit in the dining room for more traditional foods including some creative and decent sushi. Very friendly but individual servers can be very abrupt. Not rude but very fast and some customers might find that off putting.

Service is great. Sushi is great with knowledgeable experienced itamae (sushi chefs). I go very often and will continue to do so.

I really like the sizes of nigiri. The hibachi is great also. We had spider, ichiban, eel avocado, salmon rolls and they were all great. Also the udon came out steaming hot and good! There is button on wall for service too! No waving down anyone.

I was taught to truly enjoy Sushi you have to put yourself in the hands of the chef. I did so tonight. After the first dish, I put the menu aside and the chef and I went through 2 more dishes. I went late (9pm) so they weren't crowded and met the owner, his family and kids and had a wonderful time. Have shopping next door to do tomorrow so will have lunch before I do. Exceptional service, attention to detail and if you take time to order off the menu it is well worth the time and money. My bill was actually less than I expected it to be. Their prices are in line with most other places in the area but the quality of the food and service I received was more than the cost. I will be a regular.

YOKO's having a Super Bowl Sunday Special Event on February 4th. We would be giving raffle ticket for Texans jersey's. We would also giveaway a free Texans jersey if your bill is over $100 dollars (taxes not included). Also $1 beers, free appetizers , etc and something special.

I go here about once a week with my employees. Louis and Murphy are great people and they make for quick service. You order a roll, look behind you and then look back and it's in front of you. The wait staff is absolutely amazing as well, what's even better is that they remember you, they remember your names and what you like to start off with. I highly recommend this place. You don't find many sushi places in cypress that are good let alone any kind of food in cypress that's good. But I've got to give it to Lou. They do good here. I encourage anyone in cypress that doesn't want to drive to the other side of town for sushi to try it out.

Hands down one of my favorite sushi places so far. They offer anything from ramen to sushi to hibachi. We decided to try the sushi which they offer daily happy hour even on weekends. We tried different rolls and they were all very good and fresh tasting. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Will be coming back and maybe try other options that they offer. But would definitely recommend to check this place out.

This new joint will be our go-to hibachi place in town. The manager was very nice and converse with us while we waited for our party to arrive. The food was plentiful. Service was decent. They were very attentive. I must say the food is good quality and fast when it came.

We ordered two house special and salmon for our group. Appetizer were takoyaki which are squid balls. The lobster!!! Usually hibachi places make salty fried rice so I was recommended by the manager to notify our chef to lower the sodium/soy sauce. Fried rice was still a tad salty but much much better than our usual place.

Highly recommend for hibachi. I'll try sushi next.

Everything is soooo good! The Chilean Sea Bass was my favorite. We also had the Volcano Stone Beef which was really good!
The fried rice is full of flavour. The sushi was fresh. The service was fabulous! Overall, I give Yoko Japanese Kitchen 5 stars. We will definitely be back again.

Super fresh sashimi! Great service. We even met the owner and chef when he came by our table to check on us. He was super nice and you can tell he's passionate about his work. A few more options would be great, but for the Cypress area this is definitely the best for sushi

Great sushi spot and great prices for the size of the roles. Loved the tuna tower. The tuna was fresh and it also had plenty of crab. Also ordered the lobster seafood roll which was enormous. It was packed with seafood and very filling. Tried the outlet roll which was very tasty. I recommend all of them! Restaurant had a nice ambiance and played music soft enough where you could easy conversate.

This place was very nice! The atmosphere felt like a very expensive restaurant and the food was excellent. We didn't care for the soup that we got, and the manager proactively noticed and offered to replace it at no extra charge. She worked with us to find a soup which better suited our tastes, and the soup she recommended was excellent. This place has 5 star customer service and wonderful food, a fantastic value!

After having two meals at Yoko now and both of them being very good. I thought I should let others know. I had Hibachi Shrimp both times. First the dinner portion around a hibachi with a group and the lunch portion at a table. They were both delicious. I think their fried rice and the salad was much better than Shogun's and cheaper too. The yellow sauce that comes with the meal was excellent over the fried rice. The service - that's a little different. No one smiles there and I don't think some of them spoke English. Which could account for the fact there are no smiles. I will definitely be going back again as I thoroughly enjoyed the food. I had been craving that dressing on the salad and couldn't wait to eat there again. I think it's better than any hibachi place around!

I have been in many hibachis in my life ...the food very good and most of all the interactions with the chef during the dinner was great ...specially the flying shrimps at the end was great for the kids

The food was not disappointing at all! The chicken with fried rice and veggies was full of flavor. They also start you out with a soup or salad. Definitely go for the salad- the dressing is ahhhhmazing! I'll be sure to go back in the future!

This is probably my favor sushi restaurant in town ,if you like sushi or steak , don't miss it ! The chef Murphy he is the best SushiMan here he is really nice to take care us ,good quality fish ,and fusion ,I like hamachi appetizer ,it is delicious. Absolutely the steak is main menu ,I try the steak ,it is so tender ,juicy and perfectly cooked. Our waitress Lucy , she was able to give us some great guidance and was -specially helpful for pairing sake with out steak, we really enjoy our dinner ,thanks chef Murphy take care is again !

Fantastic new spot in our little Fairfield Community! The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is both interesting and inviting. We had dinner there and had sushi and fried rice. Everything was delicious! I would highly recommend this place to everyone, young or old, single or large groups!

We enjoyed our meal. We ordered several basic sushi rolls and all were well prepared. We want to try some of their warm dishes as they have a huge menu full of interesting selections.
The only negative is with the tofu appetizer. Tofu doesn't have a lot of flavor itself but the dish is served with a flavorful dipping sauce. The tofu pieces are large but the dish would be better if the pieces were half size to absorb more sauce.

Great place for lunch and dinner. Service are excellent and wait stuff are friendly! Sushi is the best ( I mean , better than the BEST !)Toro and sweet shrimp are so fresh and I will never forget the taste of it! Definitely will be back!

Well the only reason I wouldn't want to leave a great review, is selfishly, I'd hate that more folks would discover how fabulous this place is! Then I'd have to wait much longer to get a table :( but that's mean. So all kidding aside, this place is crazy good and absolutely my new sushi place. Everything was super fresh and presented in a way that you didn't want disturb the plate. The menu shows pictures of their specialty rolls, and each one we ordered looked just like the pictures. Only negative is that the restaurant is on the smaller side and they were really busy (which is a good thing) for them, not so much for me.

We eat a lot of sushi all over gulf coast and I've gotta say this is hands down the BEST! The Fatty Tuna was blue fin belly OMG pricy but the real deal. Had the outlook roll Awesome flavor. They even had Fresh wasabi. This will be added as a regular dining spot for us!

My wife and I visited a few days after opening. The decor and ambiance was really modern and friendly. The dining area was full so we waited about 15 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we were treated to a free crab salad compliments of the Chef to thank us for waiting. I ordered Ramen and it was delicious with a hearty portion of ingredients. We will return!

For the Cypress area, good quality hibachi and sushi are hit and miss. Your only decent option is Shogun by the movies and they've become quite expensive for my family of 4. Yoko is knocking all the competition out the rankings! Hands down!

We arrived around 330 and had just missed the lunch special pricing. FYI lunch is from open -3. No worries the prices were still affordable. My entire check for 2 adults, 2 kids, and sushi w tip was $58.19!!! Yes you read that right.

Sushi: Shaggy Dog, excellent display of the roll. The freshness made you realize what you've been missing with all the competitors! I wanted another one but decided to save room for my hibachi salmon.

Kids meal: The kids had chicken hibachi ($8.55) w noodles. The noodles were unbelievably tasty, I'm guilty of getting a forkful or two! Ha! My picky 3 year old ate more than she ever does.. it's so sketchy with her. This is coming from a child who prefers macaroni and chickalay (Chick-fil-A) everyday!

Adult meals: My husband had the steak and shrimp, he'd cleaned his entire plate before I was even halfway through my meal. I decided to share lol

I had the salmon and it was perfect, next time I probably will leave the glaze off the top but it wasn't a game breaker for me. Still enjoyed everything.

Pointers:
If you don't want veggies, you can ask for double rice or noodles.

Come early and beat the rush.

Opening special was 2 coupons for 4 piece spring roll and $5 off next visit.

This place was incredible. The next time I'm in town I'm stopping back here. I had the crunchy crab roll and the chicken hibachi. The sushi was fresh and you could tell they know how to properly cool the rice. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys Japanese food. I also want to mention the atmosphere here is amazing. Very modern.

Went there for date night and we were very impressed with the presentation of some of the sushi rolls, we got a coupon for a domestic beer checking in, and the service was great. We will definitely be going back!

We've been to a lot of Hibachi establishments, this one is at the top! Staff are hospitable and very attentive. The rolls and Hibachi filet and chicken were exceptional....probably some of the best we've had. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the Hibachi chef had us all laughing. A new gem in the cypress community!

An awesome source for fresh sushi and delicious hibachi in Cypress!! Definitely a competitor in the running for some of the go to Japanese Kitchen up here! Still new, and clean with helpful staff. Went for hibachi with a party of two, and we were the only ones at the table (mind you we came in around 4:45) then and the chef came out and still put on a full show as if the house was full! Will definitely be returning soon!

Excellent hibachi. I've be once for lunch (chicken) and once for dinner (filet). Food was consistent and very good both times.

We just went today for the first time and we had a good time. Hibachi is always on the pricey side but the experience was great and the kids loved it. Our cook "Sexy Boy" was funny and cooked the food very well. I also had some Sushi and it was very good. Recommend anyone in the neighborhood to try it out.

The family stopped here for fathers day lunch at a hibachi table! We absolutely loved it. The chef, aka Sexy Boy, was hysterical and entertaining. Our food was amazing! The fried rice was very yummy! Wait staff was prompt on getting glasses refilled. The atmosphere is nice. Decorations and set up is very nice.

Finally they put a decent restaurant in this shopping center instead of the same old cookie cutter shops! The food was delicious, sushi was amazing, the staff was very nice and attentive and the ambience is beautiful and relaxing. Will definitely be returning!

We ordered the boat, better then what we've expected. Our kids so far like this place better then any other sushi place around our area.

Pretty impressed with the sushi here. My favorite was the seafood roll with lobster. Lots of flavors. The octopus carpaccio was very good, too. Our son (11 y/o) loved the Rock N Roll sushi roll and actually ordered another! Service was outstanding and we will definitely be back. Nice to have good sushi so close to home.

As noted elsewhere this area (Fairfield, Houston Outlet Center) needs some restaurant help. So gave this a try for lunch. Friendly people, nice space. I'm sushi guy so set at sushi bar. Ordered one of their combo lunches, fish tastes fresh to me.

Only downers for me was iced tea was instant tea, which seems odd. Also, had the "less salt" soy sauce, and it was saltiest I've ever had. But these are minor nits. Overall good sushi, nice people, and as a bonus very fast (50mbps+) free WiFi.

First time here and glad we decided to try it. Brand new and contemporary decor. Music plays in back ground but not to loud.

We ordered the Boston and Howdy rolls and they were very good and looked awesome. We also ordered sushi by the piece and some hand rolls.

Price was good, service was very good and we will return.plenty of parking.

They also have a hibachi grille, so next time we visit we will try that. No minimum people required, so my wife and I can go by ourselves and not have to wait or eat with strangers.

We went here fro the first time yesterday and it was very good! One of the sushi rolls we ordered was really good while the other was lacking in flavor. The raw fish (spicy salmon roll) was super fresh and tasty! The fried rice was AMAZING. There were some people around us that ordered off the sushi menu and their food looked really really good.

The inside is really nice and makes for a great date night.

I'm from Austin and have been searching for a go to sushi restaurant for every time I'm in Houston and this place probably makes my top three favorites I always got the sashimi and their nogiris and have yet to be disappointed always testes fresh!

I have been waiting for a decent restaurant to come along this way and it may have arrived. Me and the kids enjoyed the Hibachi, Sushi and Tako Sashimi. I just hope they can keep it up and not fade in quality over time. I recommend and will be back here.

The atmosphere here is amazing. Also the sushi is the best I've had in a long while. For a little hole in the wall it's very modern and the service was good. Definitely stopping back through when I'm in town again.
